[If Scarlett were to be honest...if this really is outside The House (which surely it must be at this point) then she's similarly glad to be away. After all her failure, after all the people she had hurt...it was for the best.

At the same time she also felt guilty and hoped that everyone else had been freed to. Out of everyone she was the one who deserved freedom the least.]

If I may ask, where exactly are you from?

[Yonaka's voice sounded in Scarlett's ear and despite herself, she shifted back over on her side to look at the other girl.

It was so strange. Scarlett knew this other girl was real. An actual person acting according to her own will. She knew that she herself now had that freedom as well. When she existed in The House it had been impossible to tell given she knew no other way of being. The differences here, however, were to many to count and even fully explain.

The simple act of needing sleep solely because her body required it in order to sustain itself was one such example.

Sleep, in which you got actual rest, was something oddly enjoyable.

Her mind was now to active to really get back to sleep so she slowly sat up, closing her eyes and letting the sun's warmth fall over her. This was nice too.

Living was really, really nice.

After a bit she finally got up (slowly and carefully so as to let Yonaka have her extra minutes) and climbed the latter down to the main room. Breakfast was in order!]

[Eventually, Yonaka does get up. She hasn't put her hair up or even run a comb through it yet when she wanders towards the kitchen, and she has a pretty severe case of bedhead.]

Morning... Do we have coffee?

[Not really a morning person.]

[Scarlett has made some toast for them (she's not particularly good at making much yet) but she got the bag of ground coffee out. There isn't too much of it left, but the fact that such a product is here at all makes Scarlett hopeful that there is somewhere nearby they could get to where such things are sold.]

A little bit. Can you show me how to make it?

[Scarlett tried a little bit...and well. She didn't like it at all, to say the least, but it's better to know than not know.

Oh, sure.

[She hadn't really considered that Scarlett wouldn't know how, but it doesn't surprise her too much either.
